Mark Banks

Mark is a professional landscape photographer and educator based in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. His passion for the subject comes from the love of travel and being outdoors in remote places. He studied electronics in the ‘90s and subsequently repaired and sold electronic products in the retail industry until his passion for photography became too great and Mark turned his hobby into a profession.

Mark learnt the art of landscape photography using an Ebony large format film camera before converting to digital in the late 2000’s. He currently uses Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop for all image processing. He is represented by Athena Art online gallery for print purchases. Mark has been teaching landscape photography and post-processing for over 20 years and runs photography workshops around the UK and abroad. He also teaches for the Royal Photographic Society and Joe Cornish Galleries.
