Norfolk Broads & Beaches

If you wish to escape the crowds and avoid honeypot locations, then Norfolk is the place for you. North Norfolk is blessed with a huge variety of locations and subject matter from traditional windmills, broads and woodland to ruined churches, castles and abbeys. Norfolk's big moody skies and dramatically eroding and varied coast provide photographers with plenty of opportunity to explore the landscape and challenge themselves and their photographic creativity.
During this three-day landscape workshop we will be staying at The Beechwood Hotel in North Walsham, centrally located for easy access to all of our locations. Agatha Christie was a frequent guest when it was a private residence and she would spend time here writing in the summer house. Now a privately-owned hotel, it has comfortable rooms full of character and is renowned for its good food.
During the Norfolk workshop you will be under the guidance of two of the UK’s leading landscape photographers, Mark Bauer and Jeremy Walker. With a maximum group size of eight, you will be guaranteed plenty of individual attention, tuition and guidance from Mark and Jeremy, and there will be plenty of space for everyone at our locations. For comfort and convenience, transport is via car sharing.
October is an excellent time of the year to shoot the Norfolk landscape and coast. As we move into autumn, there is great potential for atmospheric or dramatic conditions - perhaps wisps of mist enveloping a long abandoned ruined abbey, perhaps a classic Norfolk 'Big Sky' full of mood and drama towering over a classic Norfolk windmill or even stormy waves breaking over the pier at Cromer.
