Dorset’s Jurassic Coastline & The Isle of Purbeck
£450.00 | 15th - 16th March, 2021 | Last Places
This is one of our most popular workshops, and with good reason: within the space of just a few miles, Purbeck is home to some of the UK's most iconic locations, including Durdle Door, Kimmeridge Bay, Corfe Castle, Old Harry Rocks and Swanage Old Pier.
Mid-March is a fantastic time to photograph this area, with the sun rising and setting in a great position to illuminate the Jurassic coastline beautifully. Atmospheric conditions can be interesting too at this time of year, and with a little luck you might see a mist-shrouded Corfe Castle on the dawn shoot.
Few photographers know Purbeck as well as Mark, so as well as receiving expert tuition from your two tutors, you can be sure that you will be in the right locations at the best time of day to make the most of them.
We will be staying at The Springfield Country Hotel, near Wareham, perfectly located for easy access to the main viewpoints. The workshop starts on Monday morning at 10am and continues until dusk on Tuesday. Included in the cost is one night's DBB (single occupancy) and packed lunches on both days. There will be a post-processing tutorial and, if time allows, you will have the opportunity to have your images reviewed by Mark and Ross. We have reduced the group size to just 8 for this year's workshop, so not only is a lot of individual attention is assured, but locations will be less busy, giving us the opportunity to exploit viewpoints we don't usually shoot.
