The Yorkshire Dales is world-renowned for its stunning pastoral scenery, picturesque waterfalls, dry-stone walls and prolific number of photogenic barns. This is Dawn 2 Dusk Photography's third visit to the Dales and we couldn't wish for a better guide than leading professional landscape photographer, Mark Banks. Mark lives close by and boasts an intimate knowledge of the Dales having photographed this area countless times over the past couple of decades.

During this three day workshop, we will visit a number of iconic landmarks such as Cauldron Falls in Wensleydale, the Ribblehead Viaduct, the limestone pavements in Ribblesdale, and the quintessentially English barns in upper Swaledale. In order to minimise travel time, we will be based in the heart of Wensleydale not far from the famous Aysgarth waterfalls (famously featured during the fight scene in the film 'Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves'). We will also visit a few less well known viewpoints on this workshop - hidden gems which you can explore freely and where we will encourage you to find your own, unique compositions. The Dales is a great landscape for using longer lenses, so make sure you bring a medium telephoto lens (in the region of 70-200mm).

We will be staying in The Wheatsheaf Inn in Wensleydale, which is perfectly located for exploring the area. The Inn is well known for its charm, great pub grub, good service, and warm hospitality. Included in the cost of the workshop is 2-nights accomodation (sole occupancy in either a single, twin, or double room), evening meal (Monday and Tuesday) and breakfast and packed lunch (Tuesday and Wednesday).

Mark Bauer will be joining Mark as a tutor on this workshop. With a group size of just 8 people, but with 2 tutors, plenty of individual attention is guaranteed. We hope you can join us...
