There are few UK destinations that can rival the Lake District for sheer beauty. Famed for its lakes, woodland and mountains, this popular National Park has inspired the likes of William Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter and John Ruskin. But it is not only poets and artists that are captivated by its landscape – you could argue is it one of the most photogenic places found anywhere in Europe.

A designated UNESCO World Heritage site, the Lake District is must visit place for any self-respecting photographer. During autumn, the landscape is turning golden and after cool, still nights, wisps of mist will fill valleys and hang atmospherically over the mirror like lakes. During this workshop, we will be based in Keswick, close to the shores of Derwent Water, home of photogenic jetties, boats and little islands. We will visit photogenic tarns, woodland and dramatic waterfalls during this 3-day workshop, shooting from dawn until last light in order to capture the most magical light and conditions.

During our Lakes workshops, we will be staying at the Keswick Country House Hotel, known for its good food and hospitality. This elegant Victorian building is set within 4-acres of gardens and just a short walk from the market town of Keswick. Included in the cost of the workshop is 3-course dinner (Wednesday & Thursday) and breakfast and packed-lunch (Thursday and Friday). For comfort and convenience, transport is via car sharing.

Your tutors for this workshop will be Mark Bauer and Ross Hoddinott. Group size is strictly restricted to 8 people on this workshop, so a large amount of individual attention is guaranteed. We hope you can join us...
